LXQt works great using the i3 tiling window manager in place of Openbox.
However, attempting to use LXQt with Sway does not work. (Sway is the Wayland replacement for i3.)
In the process of porting Openbox to Mir/Wayland, I would like to humbly suggest giving attention to the Sway/wlroots project to make them compatible with LXQt for the Mir/Wayland push.
Users could select whether to use Openbox or Sway as their window manager, perhaps as a built-in feature. Such compatibility could also transfer to other wlroots projects as well.
This blog gets about 3000 hits per month for people wanting to make i3 work with XFCE and/or LXQt.
